Custodial history

The files were originally stored on the NARL campus in the Theater Quonset hut with the library collections. When the NAVY left, UAF was invited to take documents, and these are the ones that remain. The custody of the records is unknown from the time the NAVY left Barrow until Tuzzy Library moved into the Movie Theater location and took possession of the records in 1989. These records were in cold storage for many years until the library expansion project in 2012 when the files were moved to their present location.
